This is a beginner-friendly Spanish class, though kids who already speak Spanish will still enjoy the fun and engaging activities. Each week, children will explore new vocabulary through a variety of hands-on projects, games, crafts, and songs.
We’ll start with Lesson 1: ¿Quién soy? (Who am I?), and progress through exciting themes like Colors, Numbers, Shapes, Places, Around the House, Clothing, Seasons, Parts of the Body, Positional Words, Food, Family, Animals, and Descriptive Words—culminating in a festive fiesta celebration!
The curriculum emphasizes speaking and listening proficiency, play-based assessments, and cross-curricular connections to math, science, and physical education. Cultural appreciation is also a key part of every lesson.
Please note: This is not a “Farm and Homestead Program in Spanish.” It’s a completely separate program with its own activities. You're welcome to sign your child up for both if you'd like! The Spanish day will still include an outdoor lunchtime (kids bring their own lunch), outdoor play, and some free rec time, since a big part of our mission is to foster friendships among homeschool kids.
